Peanut Butter Cookie Surprise
Did you absolutely love the peanut butter
cookies Mattie served last Sunday? Well, here’s the recipe for your recipe box. Enjoy!
Peanut Butter Cookie Surprise
1- Brownie Mix
1/4 cup Butter, melted
4 oz Cream Cheese, softened
1 Egg
1 cup Powdered Sugar
1 Creamy Peanut Butter
1/2 -16 oz can of Chocolate Fudge Frosting

1. Heat oven to 350F. In Med Bowl, beat brownie mix, melted butter, cream cheese and egg. 50 strokes with spoon until well blended ( dough will be sticky) 2. on un-greased cookie sheet, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2" apart to make 24 cookies; smooth edge of each to form cookie (or coat hands with butter and make a ball of cookie dough, its easier that way) 3. In small bowl, mix powdered sugar and peanut butter with spoon until mixture forms a ball. With hands, roll rounded teaspoon into 24 balls. Lightly press 1 ball into center of each ball of dough 4. Bake 10 to 14 minutes or until edges are set cool cookies on cookie sheet at least 30 minutes. 5. Remove cooled cookies from cookie sheets. Spread thin layer of frosting over peanut butter portion of each cookie.

Thank You!
To all who left goodies, treats, gifts and cards on my desk throughout the holiday season, thank you. You’re thoughtfulness only adds to the appreciation felt by the family of Zion. It is a privilege and honor to be your church secretary. Thanks again! ~Jennifer

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the Dietz family and the Schneider family as they mourn the passing of Bob Dietz and Gene Schneider.

In Pastor's Words

WHICH ‘TATE’ WILLYOU IMITATE IN 2008?

Are you thinking about those resolutions?  We’re going to talk about them next Sunday.  As we make resolutions we need to think about the end product.  What do we actually want to see happen in our lives in 2008?  Who would we like to look like?  To help us along, someone has cleverly put together this little illustration about the “Tate” family which covers just about everyone.  So, as you read this through, and are thinking about those resolutions, which “Tate” will you imitate in 2008?

Members of the “Tate” family go something like this.  There is old man Dic Tate who wants to run everything, while Uncle Ro Tate tries to change everything.  Their sister Agi Tate stirs up plenty of trouble, with help from her husband, Irri Tate.  Whenever new projects are suggested, Hesi Tate and his wife, Vege Tate, want to wait until next year.  Then there is Aunt Imi Tate, who wants our church to be like all the others.  Devas Tate provides the voice of doom, while Poten Tate wants to be a big shot.

But not all members of the family are bad.  Brother Facili Tate is quite helpful in church matters.  And a delightful, happy member of the family is Miss Felici Tate.  Cousins Cogi Tate and Medi Tate always think things over and lend helpful hands.  And of course there is the black sheep of the family, Ampu Tate, who has completely cut himself off from the church.

As we move into a brand new year, following the examples of Facili Tate, Felici Tate, Cogi Tate and Medi Tate will go a long way in helping the church to move forward in accomplishing its God given mission for strengthening the local body and in reaching out to a world that desperately needs its message of Christ’s love and forgiveness.

WYOMING BOYS SCHOOL MINISTRY
The Wyoming Boys School ministry continues to share the Good News and has good news to report. The Boys School Ministry team consists of the body of Christ within our community. We have had several changes and growth this year. Ed Belleque of Thermopolis and Boys School chaplain of 30 years, retired in January and entrusted the position to Mike King of Worland. Mike has a real heart and a gift for ministering to these young men. Weekly evening Bible studies are being held. There are 4 worship teams and a number of speakers who minister on a rotation basis each Sunday afternoon. Many decisions for Christ as well as a baptism have happened this year.
Once again, we are planning to bless the boys with Christmas goodies on December 23rd, immediately following the worship service. This has become a greatly anticipated event, as their sweets are very limited there. If you would like to provide some Christmas cookies, candies, etc. this year, please bring them to Kings Carpet One with your name and address on them (they like to send thank you notes) by Friday, December 21st. Thank you for being a part of this crucial ministry, as this is a pivotal time in the lives of these young men. The impact we can make not only on their lives, but on our society as a whole is far reached.

EAGLE SCOUT GRADUATION TO BE HELD
The family of Zion is cordially invited to an Eagle Scout Award ceremony in honor of Zach Ley, Saturday, December 22nd at 1:00pm at the church. Reception and refreshments to follow.

After supper, take the time to finish up your holiday shopping tasks while we watch the kids. Your children ages 12 and younger may remain in our care for a choice of a movie, crafts, a Christmas story and nursery supervision till around 8:00pm. All for your love offering! Thank you in advance for helping us prepare for a God honoring, God directed and life changing event. All proceeds will go to the Kenya Mission Trip scheduled for June 2008.

To Our Friends at Zion,
A Christmas Inspiration
With time we see, through wiser eyes
the greatest gifts God sends
aren’t power, fame, or fortune,
but our families and our friends!
We find tat dreams aren’t just for kids,
that prayer can save the day,
that life’s a whole lot sweeter
When we laugh along the way!
We learn that loving and caring
Means so much when times get tough,
That hugs can often “say it all”
When words are not enough.
We learn to keep a child like faith
Forever in our hearts
For that’s where hope and love are born,
Through Jesus Christ it starts!
Have a blessed, holy Christmas,
Floyd & Jennie Thompson

HI, ALL!

Our young missionary, Mattie Brill, is still serving with Teen Mania Ministries in the Acquire the Fire call center on the north campus of Bethany College of Missions. She oversees the 1st-year interns who call to give teens in youth groups all over the country the opportunity to attend these life-changing events in their areas. Our very own youth group attended an Acquire the Fire in Billings just a few short weeks ago! There will be a Bake Sale/Craft Sale after church on December 9th to provide the financial support she needs to continue serving in this vital ministry to our teens! If anyone would like to contribute baked goods and/or homemade craft goods for the sale, you can leave them at the church or I will come and get them on Friday, 12/7 or Saturday, 12/8. My home phone is 347-3350.
Thank you so much for your continuing and vital prayer support, as well as your generous
financial support.
The vision of the expanding kingdom of God is alive and well at Zion! Mattie sends her love to all of you and is anxious to see you during the holidays!
Love to you All!
Joyce Brill

2007 CHRISTMAS CANTATA
IMAGINE
A Christmas Worship Experience

Imagine a world without Jesus. For many of us, that would be difficult to do. But there was a time when all the world knew was a world without Christ-a time when there was no Messiah, no joy, and no peace... But the moment would finally come for God to speak, the silence would be shattered by the cry of a newborn child!
Come and join us Sunday, December 16th during Morning Worship at 10:30am as the Chancel Choir performs this years’ cantata under the direction of Nancy Heiser. Worship the Lord, just as the shepherds and Wiseman did over 2000 years ago as you experience the power of the birth of the Savior!
