Church Wide Harvest Dinner
Next Sunday evening is that wonderful meal we have all been looking forward to-Thanksgiving Harvest Dinner. It is a free meal prepared for our church family by the Wednesday Night Cook Teams, and Women’s Ministry. Doors will open at 4:30 pm at Eastside Elementary School (across the parking lot) for us to come in, find the very best seat, visit with friends, and anticipate the meal which will be served at 5:00 pm.
The purpose of this event is to come together in thanksgiving to the Lord for His blessings on us, our church and our community this year. We have planned a great dinner and fun entertainment which all of us will enjoy. But do you know what would make this evening spectacular? It would be to see you there! You do not have to make a reservation, and you don’t have to bring money or food - just come! If you have an additional questions, contact Denise Cloud or Donna Jones.

NOTES FROM THE CONSISTORY
At the recent consistory meeting discussion began on the budget process for the 2008 budget.
All involved with the expenses included within the church budget should be preparing their respective planned expenditures for January 2008 through December 2008. What is needed is not only the total amount for the annual budget expense within your area of responsibility but also the breakdown of expenditures expected on a monthly basis. This data will assist the consistory in budget planning.
The church staff has budget forms with 2007 actual data included. We as a consistory would like to have the data back into the church office by the second week in November, so please prayerfully consider your program of God’s work and those expense needs as they pertain to 2008.
For the various chairpersons/leaders it is not too late to begin thinking and preparing your annual report for your area to be included into the 2007 Annual Church Report.
I am more than willing to provide any assistance with this process that I can,
Cal Jones, Treasurer

Church Directory Update
As you all may know, we have had our portraits taken by Olan Mills for our new directory. We will now be taking pictures of various activities in our church so we can complete the “activity pages” of the directory. There will also be photos taken during our morning Worship Service thru December. Your cooperation and understanding during this time will be much appreciated. If you have photos of some of our more recent church activities and would like to donate them for the directory please bring them to the church office at your earliest convenience. If you did not have a chance to have our portrait taken but would still like to have it in the directory you may bring it to the church office as well. Should you have any questions please see Sally Reuer or Jennifer.
